This is far from true. The animals in the pound are the hope filled kittens and puppies who will never experience life, they are the dogs who would so dearly love you to tell them they are ‘good’, the ones who never gave up loving people and would forgive their owners in a single wag of their tail. They are the cats just wanting to be held and stroked, the ones who start purring when you walk past their cage. They are the older animals who desperately want the comforts that have been denied them – a warm bed, good food, and the kind words of someone who loves them."
